Everything about Milkshake totally explainedMilkshake! is a television programming block on Five, which debuted in 1997, and it's shown on weekdays and Sundays from 6.00am to 9.00am respectively. It is shown on Saturdays from 2005, debuting at 7.00am instead of 6.00am for the hour of Sunrise, 6.00am to 6.55am. The presenters punctuate the mainly cartoons/stop motion/computer animated programmes with little dance routines and birthday announcements. In 2006 the cast did a live tour in Butlins camps around the country.
Milkshake! has been broadcasting for six hours, 6.00am-12.00pm on Five Life since 16 October 2006. On 28th April, when Five Life was rebranded to Fiver, Milkshake! was removed from the weekday schedule and now is only shown from 6.00am to 11.45am every weekend. However, it still continues everyday on Five.

Milkshake! airs from 6.00am to 9.00am Monday – Friday and Sunday and 7.00am to 9.00am on Saturdays and also runs daily from, 6am-11.00am on the digital channel Five Life.
Presenters
Milkshake!'s group of presenters is hugely important to the slot. Each morning a different presenter guides the under 7's through the morning, with birthdays, competitions and join in songs and dances. The current line up features Naomi Wilkinson who started in 1999 and was later joined by Kemi Majeks in the same year they were followed by Beth Evans in (2005-). And a few other names, Jen Pringle, and Hannah Williams, joined in 2006 with Derek Moran the newest presenter joining in 2007.
The original line up featured Konnie Huq and Lucy Alexander as the original two presenters who would share the 7 days-a-week presenting shifts. When Konnie left to present Blue Peter, Eddie Matthews (previously from Nickelodeon) was brought in as a replacement.
